Important Information

Are You Looking for Your Order?

Your insects are probably waiting for you at the post office. The 3rd day after shipment, no matter what the inaccurate USPS shipping tracking info says go the the post office and get your package or find out where it is. Take your tracking number with you.

We ship on Mondays and Thursdays normally, We ship only to the continental United States. No exceptions. Sorry!

Always remember YOU are ordering live animals an not a toaster, blender or shoes, very hardy but within treatment and temperature limits. Since YOU are ordering live animals, YOU need to track them and YOU need to pick them up from the post office within 4 hours of their arrival. ALL ORDERS ARE MARKED TO HOLD AT POST OFFICE FOR CUSTOMER PICKUP, IF YOU CAN'T FIND YOUR PACKAGE  IT'S PROBABLY AT THE POST OFFICE, TAKE YOUR TRACKING NUMBER YOU RECEIVED AND GO TO THE POST OFFICE AND PICK UP YOUR PACKAGE.

Orders must be picked up within 4 hours upon arriving at post office and any dead over 5% of order is 100% GUARANTEED.

All orders are 5% over weighed to allow for dead and odd sizes.

I have found from ordering 100,000's+ roaches that 1% to 3% or less DOA is normal. Heat and cold during delivery is the big killer, and post office delays which is beyond our control.

That is why we hold all shipments at the post office for pickup.

Trex Ranch is not responsible for dead or missing due to the post office damaging or losing the shipment, or time delays during shipping or customer pickups.

All guarantee's are void 96 hours (4 Days) after roaches have entered the post office shipping system.

Problems with orders must be reported within 1 hour of order being picked up from post office. Please spread dead out over a white piece of paper (81/2 x 11) and email us a picture.

1. ALL INSECTS ARE SOLD BY PRE DETERMINED WEIGHT FOR THEIR SIZE NOT ESTIMATED COUNTS! COUNTS CAN VARY UP OR DOWN. WEIGHT IS VERIFIABLE!

2. When you put eating machines (Insects) in a box for 3 or 4 days with no food or water they lose weight, about 20% of their weight in 3 days and another 5% to 7% each day until they lose about 50% of their weight after 10 days, and stay that weight until they die from starvation.

When you receive your insects they will have a weight slip showing what they weighed seconds before being placed in a box. When you get them, expect the roaches to weigh a minimum of 20% less than the stated weight slip taken before shipping. After being feed and watered for a day the weight will return.

3. For the doubting Thomas's.....Run a weight test! Go step on a scale and see how much you weigh, write it down. Now don't eat anything or drink for 3 days. After 3 days go weigh yourself. Did someone rip you off or steal from you? No! I don't think so...

WITH NO FOOD OR WATER , ALL ANIMALS OR INSECTS LOSE WEIGHT.  IT'S NOT DEBATABLE! IT'S JUST A FACT!

Roaches are way more weight sensitive than humans since they live to eat.

They are God's clean up crew!

Insects are sold by the gram based on average standard weights listed on each page, roach counts are estimates based on weight. Within the same size group there is a 6 week age and weight difference. Roach counts and size is completely subjective. A supplier can vary estimate counts by 40% up or down depending on the size roaches they pick for their weight sample. I call it the Roach Count Scam, and to each their own.  That is why we sell by the gram. Just like when you go buy a steak, you pay by the pound not how many bites. I have ordered 10,000 roaches that weighed less than 300 grams and others that weighed over 400 grams. Personally for my money I want more verifiable meat not estimated bites for my lizards.

ALL INSECTS ARE SOLD BY PREDETERMINED WEIGHT FOR THEIR SIZE NOT ESTIMATED COUNTS! COUNTS CAN VARY UP OR DOWN. WEIGHT IS VERIFIABLE!

We want you to know that you are getting the weight you paid for we include a packing slip showing roach weights and count estimates. If you checked your current suppliers weights, you would be surprised and not in a good way. To be honest roaches lose at least 20% to 50% of their body weight during shipping due to they can not be shipped with food or water, but after hydration the weight returns. I had roaches returned a month later that was not picked up, still alive, but weighed 50% less than when they were shipped.  Scales calibration is checked weekly every Monday morning. Roaches are sold by their weight prior to shipping, not after shipping with no food or water.

Opening Stapled Bag!

The easiest way to open bag is tap the bag to get the roaches to drop to the bottom of the bag and take a pair of scissors and cut the top of the bag off and dump roaches in to a large plastic bin.

Bags have to be secure! Post office would not like roaches running all over the place. They would take it personal...lol

You may find a hitch hiker in your order which could include a Dermestid cleaner crew, Dubia, or Madagascar Hisser. I tell them to stay in their own bin but sometimes they just don't listen. You may also find a smaller than ordered roach who refused to leave it's big brothers and sisters.
